Simoom Sound


Simoom Sound (50˚51'00" 126˚30'00" E and N of Wishart Peninsula, between Tribune Channel and Kingcome Inlet, NE of Port McNeill). In 1864, RN marine surveyor Lt Daniel Pender named a number of features in this area in association with Rear Adm John Kingcome, who was cdr-in-chief of the Pacific Station at that time (see Kingcome Inlet).
