Shuttleworth Bight


Shuttleworth Bight (50˚51'00" 128˚08'00" NE of Cape Scott, W of Cape Sutil, N end of Vancouver I). Henry Shuttleworth (1870–1941), from England, built a homestead on the bight, at the mouth of the Stranby R, in 1905. Three years later he married Marie Christensen (d 1938), sister of the area’s first settler, Soren Christensen.
