Selma Park


Selma Park (49˚28'00" 123˚44'00" E side of Trail Bay, just SE of Sechelt, Str of Georgia, NW of Vancouver). This coastal resort was developed in 1914 by the All Red Line and named after one of the company’s vessels, the Selma, acquired in 1911 and used as a cargo and passenger ship between Vancouver and Powell R. The 43-m, 234-tonne Selma was built at Glasgow in 1881 as the Santa Cecilia, the private pleasure craft of Sir Henry Paget, 4th Marquess of Anglesey. Stories abound of mad parties...
