Seaforth Channel


Seaforth Channel (52˚14'00" 128˚18'00" E of Milbanke Sd, N of the Bardswell Group and Campbell I). Named by HBC officials in the 1840s for Lt Gen Francis Humberston Mackenzie, 1st Lord Seaforth, Baron Mackenzie of Kintail (1754–1815). He was MP for the county of Ross, 1784–90 and 1794–96, and lord lt of Ross, 1794–1815.
