Sayward (50˚23'00" 125˚58'00" SW side of Salmon Bay, Johnstone Str, NW of Campbell R). William Parsons Sayward (1818–1905) was a pioneer BC lumberman and well-known Victoria entrepreneur. He was born in Maine and trained as a carpenter, living in Florida and California before arriving at Victoria in 1858 and opening a lumber yard.
