Sallie Point


Sallie Point (50˚43'00" 125˚44'00" N side of Knight Inlet, NW of Duncan Bight, N of Glendale Cove). William Blakeney, assistant surveying officer under Lt Daniel Pender aboard the Beaver in 1865, named a group of geographical features in this vicinity in association with his brother-in-law, William Macdonald. Macdonald would become a prominent BC businessman and politician (see Macdonald Point). Sallie was his favourite horse.
