Sage Rock


Sage Rock (52˚57'00" 129˚35'00" Entrance to Pemberton Bay, S side of Dewdney I, Estevan Group, NW side of Caamaño Sd). Named for Enoch Sage (1858–1945), one of the first white children to be born at Nanaimo. His parents, Jesse and Mary Ann Sage, arrived in BC in 1854 on the HBC’s Princess Royal, part of a shipload of immigrants brought out from England to work at Nanaimo’s coal mines.
