Reid Island (49˚00'00" 123˚37'00" Between Thetis I and the N end of Galiano I, Gulf Is). James Murray Reid (1802–68), from the Orkney Is, worked for the HBC’s marine dept for many years, serving as mate on the supply vessels that travelled between Britain and Hudson Bay.
