Pylades Channel


Pylades Channel (49˚06'00" 123˚42'00" Between Valdes I and the De Courcy Group, S of Gabriola I, Gulf Is), Pylades Island (49˚04'00" 123˚41'00" Southernmost island in the De Courcy Group). These features were named by Capt George Richards of HMS Plumper about 1859, after the RN screw corvette Pylades, 21 guns and 1,160 tonnes.
