Point Grey


Point Grey (49˚16'00" 123˚16'00" S entrance to Burrard Inlet, Vancouver), Point Grey Beach (49˚17'00" 123˚14'00" S side of Burrard Inlet, W of English Bay). Capt George Vancouver named Grey Point in 1792 after his friend Capt George Grey (1767–1828). The son of an earl, Grey entered the RN in 1781 and was soon promoted post capt.
