Paige Point


Paige Point (53˚11'00" 129˚32'00" NW point of Campania I, Nepean Sd, S of Pitt I). Named in 1949 after Staff Sgt Herbert Melvin Paige of the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps, aged 26, who was killed in action Jan 11, 1944, during the fighting at Ortona and the Moro R in Italy. He was originally from Edmonton. Paige is buried at the Moro R Canadian War Cemetery.
