Okisollo Channel


Okisollo Channel (50˚17'00" 125˚12'00" N and NE sides of Quadra I, N of Campbell R). Okisollo is an adaptation of a Kwakwala or Lekwala word meaning “channel” or “passageway.” When Capt George Vancouver travelled through this region in 1792, it was occupied by the Coast Salish tribes of the Island Comox.
