Nymphe Cove


Nymphe Cove (50˚08'00" 125˚22'00" W side of Discovery Passage, N entrance to Menzies Bay, N of Campbell R). Named after HMS Nymphe, an 8-gun sloop of war that was based at Esquimalt, 1893–96, under Capt George Huntingford. The gunboat was sent to Seymour Narrows in 1895, where crew members recorded tidal observations. At the same time, Lt Bertram Chambers, who named this feature, re-surveyed Menzies Bay.
