Nutcracker Bay

Nutcracker Bay (50˚19'00" 125˚17'00" S side of Sonora I, N side of Okisollo Channel, N of Campbell R). The bay is the site of a TimberWest Forest Corp log-booming operation. The name was adopted in 1982, when Crown Zellerbach Canada Ltd was the forestry company that owned the booming grounds. According to a CZ source, the feature was named after a forest worker was involved in a donkey-engine accident at this location that injured a “delicate part of his anatomy.”
