Norris Rocks


Norris Rocks (49˚29'00" 124˚39'00" S of Hornby I, Str of Georgia). John Thomas Hammond Norris served on the Pacific Station, 1859–60, as master of HMS Tribune, under Capt Geoffrey Hornby. He was promoted to staff cdr in 1863 and his name appears on the retired list in 1870. Named by Capt George Richards of HMS Plumper in 1860.
