Mount Hulke


Mount Hulke (53˚16'09" 129˚32'23" W side of Tuwartz Inlet, S end of Pitt I). RCAF squadron leader Cecil Walter Lloyd Hulke, from Victoria, was killed in action Oct 3, 1943, aged 36. He was the son of Brig Gen W B Hulke, DSO, and was serving at the time in N Africa with No 243 (RAF) Wing. Hulke is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial at the El Alamein War Cemetery in Egypt.
