Mount Arrowsmith


Mount Arrowsmith (49˚13'26" 124˚35'41" S of Cameron Lk, between Parksville and Port Alberni, Vancouver I). Aaron Arrowsmith (1750–1823) and his nephew John A Arrowsmith (1780–1873) were distinguished British geographers and map-makers from Durham. Aaron moved to London to work for the engraver John Cary and became famous for his 1790 map of the world and his detailed maps of N America (1796) and Scotland (1807).
