Morrow Island


Morrow Island (50˚43'00" 126˚41'00" E end of Sunday Hbr, S of Eden I, Broughton Archipelago, NE end of Queen Charlotte Str). RCNVR lt David James Morrow, from Vancouver, was killed in action on Nov 24, 1944, aged 28, while serving aboard HMCS Shawinigan. This Flower-class corvette worked mainly as an escort on N Atlantic convoy runs, 1941–44.
