Moore Channel


Moore Channel (52˚57'00" 132˚16'00" S of Hibben I, Kuper Inlet, NW side of Moresby I, QCI). George Moore (d 1890) was the master of HMS Thetis, under Capt Augustus Kuper, and served on the Pacific Station, 1851–53. He made a survey of this channel in 1852, the year the Thetis was sent to the region.
