McMurray Point


McMurray Point (53˚51'00" 130˚00'00" S entrance to Kumealon Inlet, Grenville Channel, SE of Prince Rupert). Robert William McMurray (1885–1969), from Ardrossan, Scotland, joined the CPR’s trans-Atlantic steamship service in 1910. During WWI he served in the RN as a lt cdr. In 1925 he brought both the Princess Kathleen and Princess Marguerite out to Victoria from the Clyde shipyards, where they were built, and later that year he was named marine superintendent of the CPR’s BC Coast...
