McKay Reef


McKay Reef (49˚07'00" 125˚58'00" E side of Father Charles Channel, SW of Wickaninnish I, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Capt Hugh McKay (1824–82), originally a cooper from Sutherland in Scotland, was a familiar name on the W coast of Vancouver I in the colonial era.
