McCall Bank


McCall Bank (49˚20'00" 123˚39'00" W of Howe Sd, Str of Georgia). Albert Arthur McCall (1877–1947), a fisherman and boatbuilder who grew up at Gibsons Landing and had a small boatyard in N Vancouver, first reported this bank. He was the elder son of Gibsons pioneer Arthur Simpson McCall (1851–1935), who came to BC from Ont and worked at first as a drayman, hauling shingle bolts and other materials with his horse and wagon, later becoming a realtor and justice of the peace for the Gibsons...
