Martin Point


Martin Point (53˚43'00" 132˚11'00" S end of Kumdis I, E side of Masset Inlet, Graham I, QCI). This former Haida village site was named after pioneer Graham I merchant James Martin. According to QCI historian Kathleen Dalzell, he arrived in the islands in 1908 and lived there all his life, establishing a general store at Masset, then opening branches at Nadu, Sewall and Port Clements.
