MacKenzie Cove


MacKenzie Cove (49˚28'00" 123˚22'25" Centre Bay, S side of Gambier I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). Alexander (1870–1949) and Eunice MacKenzie bought 20 ha of waterfront here in 1925 and built a large summer house, which was destroyed by fire about 1940. After WWII, family members built six individual homes around the cove. By 1990, when MacKenzie Cove was adopted as a local name, three of Alexander’s sons were still living there, and the other cottages were owned by various relatives....
