Lyall Harbour


Lyall Harbour (48˚48'00" 123˚12'00" W side of Saturna I, Gulf Is), Lyall Point (48˚58'00" 125˚19'00" E side of David Channel, N of Broken Group, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Dr David Lyall (1817–95) served in BC, 1857–61, as the surgeon aboard HMS Plumper, survey vessel of Capt George Richards, and as a member of the N American Boundary Commission, which he accompanied as a botanist.
