Leroy Bay


Leroy Bay (51˚16'00" 127˚40'00" S side of Browning Channel, Smith Sd, N of Port Hardy), Leroy Island (In Leroy Bay), Leroy Rock (S side of Browning Channel). Named after the Leroy Bay Cannery, which was built in 1929 by Kingcome Packers Ltd. The plant burned down in 1937 and was not rebuilt, though the site was later used as a seasonal camp by Nelson Bros Fisheries Ltd.
