Kwun Point


Kwun Point (52˚46'00" 131˚46'00" NW tip of Richardson I, between W end of Tanu I and Lyell I, E of Moresby I, QCI). The hydrographic service applied this name in 1957, taking it from the Haida vocabulary that appeared as an appendix to George Mercer Dawson’s Report of Progress for 1878–79, published by the Geological Survey of Canada. It means “nose.”
