Krone Island


Krone Island (53˚36'00" 130˚33'00" In Griffith Hbr, off NW end of Banks I). Anton Oscar Krone (1874–1960) was a fireman aboard the W coast survey vessel Lillooet in the 1920s. He served overseas in WWI and on his return married Harriett Delaney (1886–1961) at Victoria in 1919. The name was adopted in 1926.
