Konishi Bay

Konishi Bay (49˚20'00" 123˚22'00" SE end of Bowen I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). Konishi was a Japanese houseboy for the Cowan family, which owned a substantial amount of land in this vicinity (see Point Cowan). He was the caretaker of the property and a favourite with the Cowan children. The feature was named in 1907 by family members, who rowed along the S coastline of Bowen that year and gave names to all the coves and bays.
