Joan Point (49˚08'00" 123˚49'00" W side of Dodd Narrows, SE of Nanaimo Hbr), Joanna Rock (52˚15'00" 128˚18'00" S of Don Peninsula, Seaforth Channel, NW of Bella Bella). Joan Olive White (1827–1908), a native of Scotland, married Robert Dunsmuir (1825–89) in 1847 at Kilmarnock and immigrated to N America in 1851, sailing in the tea clipper Pekin.
