James Cone


James Cone (49˚41'51" 126˚36'52" On Strange I, Tlupana Inlet, Nootka Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Named in 1935 after James Strange, who arrived in PNW waters in 1786 with the second fur-trading expedition to visit the BC coast. See Strange I. This feature is marked as Conspicuous Cone on early Admiralty charts.
