Jack Tolmie Island (49˚31'42" 123˚57'53" SE of Turnagain I, entrance to Secret Cove, E side of Malaspina Str, NW of Vancouver). Jack Tolmie, a grandson of HBC chief factor William Fraser Tolmie (see Tolmie Channel) and nephew of BC premier Simon Fraser Tolmie, once owned this island, according to Joseph E Henderson, a subsequent owner of the property. Henderson proposed the name in 1972, and it was adopted in 1978.
