Home Island


Home Island (Salmon Rock) (49˚23'00" 123˚29'00" SW of Keats I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). The source of the name Home is not really known, though two RN officers—Capt Sir James Everard Home, CB (1798–1853), and Rear Adm Sir Home Riggs Popham (see Popham I)—have both been suggested by historian Athelstan Harvey.
