Hemasila Inlet

Hemasila Inlet (51˚32'00" 127˚35'00" E side of Walbran I, Rivers Inlet). According to BC historians Helen and Philip Akrigg, when Rivers Inlet was re-surveyed in the late 1930s, a number of names were bestowed to honour the family of Methodist medical missionary George Darby, who operated a summer hospital on the inlet for many years. Hemasila was a Heiltsuk First Nation nickname given to one of the Darby children.
