Hammond Bay


Hammond Bay (49˚14'00" 123˚58'00" N of Nanaimo and Departure Bay, Str of Georgia), Hammond Rocks (48˚32'00" 124˚27'00" S side of Port San Juan, SW side of Vancouver I), Hammond Rocks (54˚25'00" 130˚40'00" SE of Moffat Is, Chatham Sd, NW of Prince Rupert). Sub-Lt George Crispin Hammond was Lt Daniel Pender’s assistant aboard the sidewheel steamer Beaver, 1867–70, while it was leased from the HBC for survey work on the BC coast.
