Halsted Islet

Halsted Islet (50˚51'00" 127˚51'00" E entrance to Shushartie Bay, N tip of Vancouver I). Rev Frederick Charles Halsted (or Halstead, as some sources spell his name) was an RN chaplain aboard HMS Daedalus, under Capt George Wellesley, on the Pacific Station, 1850–53. The feature was named by William Dillon, who made a survey of Shushartie Bay in 1850 when he was temporarily master of the Daedalus.
