Guillod Point


Guillod Point (50˚03'00" 127˚16'00" S entrance to Chamiss Bay, Kyuquot Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). Harry Guillod (1838–1906) served for many years as Indian agent and justice of the peace in the Barkley Sd region and was a fluent speaker of the Nuu-chah-nulth language. He arrived at Victoria, via Panama and San Francisco, in 1862 from London, England, and tried his hand at mining in the Cariboo.
