Gray Rock (51˚51'00" 130˚56'00" SE of Kerouard Is, off S tip of QCI), Grays Cove (52˚06'00" 131˚13'00" E side of Anthony I, off SW end of Moresby I, QCI). Capt Robert Gray (1755–1806) commanded the Lady Washington, one of the vessels in the first US fur-trading expedition to the PNW. He left Boston in 1787, arrived a year later at Nootka Sd and spent the summer of 1789 in the QCI.
