Gore-Langton Point


Gore-Langton Point (54˚30'00" 130˚53'00" SE side of Dundas I, NW of Prince Rupert), Gore-Langton Rock (54˚05'00" 130˚50'00" SW of Stephens I and Prince Rupert). Lt Evelyn Arthur Temple-Gore-Langton (1884–1972), son of the 4th Earl of Stowe, served aboard HMS Egeria on the BC coast, 1907–9. He assisted with the surveys of Dixon Entrance and Hecate Str, conducted under cdrs John Parry and Frederick Learmonth. Gore-Langton was later promoted to lt cdr.
