Goldstream River


Goldstream River (48˚29'00" 123˚33'00" Flows SE and N into head of Finlayson Arm, Saanich Inlet, S Vancouver I). This waterway, originally known as Gold Ck or Gold Stream, experienced a minor gold rush in the mid-1860s after former Royal Engineer Peter John Leech (or Leach; see Leach It) of the Vancouver I Exploring Expedition found the precious metal there.
