Geetla Inlet

Geetla Inlet (51˚30'00" 127˚37'00" E side of Walbran I, Rivers Inlet), Geetla Point (51˚29'00" 127˚35'00" Entrance to Geetla Inlet). According to BC historians Helen and Philip Akrigg, when Rivers Inlet was re-surveyed in the late 1930s, a number of names were bestowed by the hydrographic service to honour the family of Methodist medical missionary Dr George Darby, who operated a summer hospital on the inlet for many years while based at Bella Bella.
