Freshfield Point


Freshfield Point (52˚58'00" 132˚19'00" SW tip of Hibben I, off NW Moresby I, QCI). William Freshfield was assistant to master George Moore on HMS Thetis, under Capt Augustus Kuper. He played an active role in the 1852 survey of this area. In 1853 he transferred to HMS Cockatrice, aboard which he is believed to have died. W
