Fleury Island


Fleury Island (53˚13'00" 132˚07'00" S of Lina I, Maude Channel, between Graham I and Moresby I, QCI). Victoria pioneer Frances “Fanny” Fleury (1836–1899) married Francis Claudet, superintendent of BC’s colonial assay office, in 1863. He assayed QCI coal samples from the Cowgitz Mine at Kagan Bay.
