Fleming Point


Fleming Point (51˚31'00" 127˚40'00" N side of Darby Channel, Rivers Inlet). According to historians Helen and Philip Akrigg, Fleming was the name of a young nurse working at Dr George Darby’s Rivers Inlet hospital at the time a new coastal survey was being conducted in the late 1930s. The name was adopted in 1947.
