Finn Bay

Finn Bay (51˚30'00" 127˚44'00" N side of Penrose I, Darby Channel, Rivers Inlet). A dozen families of Russian Finns homesteaded at this location about 1908 and earned their living from logging and fishing. The Millerd Packing Co established a fish saltery there in 1928. Floathouses are often moored in the bay, and a fuel station, small store and fishing lodge have all called Finn Bay home. Nearby Finn Ck and Finn Lk are named after the bay.
