Ferguson Bay


Ferguson Bay (53˚40'00" 132˚17'00" S side of Masset Inlet, Graham I, QCI). Capt S Ferguson owned property on this bay. He planted fruit trees there and lived in a log cabin from 1912 until his 1920 death by drowning. Ferguson was best known as master of the BC Dept of Lands survey vessel Polaris. In the 1920s, Francis Millerd ran a cannery on the bay, using the hulk of the ancient sailing ship Laurel Whalen as part of his operation. D
