False Creek


False Creek (49˚17'00" 123˚08'00" E of English Bay, Vancouver). Named by RN surveyor Capt George Richards in 1859 when he discovered that this waterway didn’t lead anywhere. “Creek” was a common 19th-century Admiralty term for a small inlet that dried at low tide, and BC once had dozens of them.
