Fairfax Inlet


Fairfax Inlet (52˚45'00" 132˚00'00" S side of Tasu Sd, W Moresby I, QCI). After Rear Adm Fairfax Moresby, cdr-in-chief on the RN’s Pacific Station, 1850–53. See Moresby I. Fairfax Inlet was formerly known as Wright Inlet (qv), named in 1946 after BC land surveyor Alfred Wright, who made detailed triangulation studies of the entire NW part of Moresby I in 1918.
