Ethel Island


Ethel Island (51˚33'00" 127˚32'00" Between Ida I and Florence I, Rivers Inlet). Ethel Margaret Elizabeth Walbran (1874–1945) was the youngest daughter of Capt John Walbran, noted BC mariner and author of British Columbia Coast Names 1592–1906. She married Dominion meteorologist Frank Denison (1866–1946, see Denison I) in 1904, and together they lived at the observatory on Gonzales Hill in Victoria.
