Eby Rock

Eby Rock (49˚13'08" 126˚01'17" Off NW tip of Vargas I, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Jacob M Eby was an early settler on the N side of Vargas I, pre-empting land there in 1912 and receiving a Crown grant in 1917. This feature appeared on early Admiralty charts as Half-tide Rk but was renamed by the hydrographic service in 1934
